Observers Of Government Values Have Not Heard Public Votes Correcting The Job Creation Law

JAKARTA - A number of groups consider the government to be unresponsive to public votes, especially in the case of the Job Creation Law and the KPK Law Revision.

Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Opinion, Dedi Kurnia Syah, assesses that the government's reactive attitude in facing demonstrations against the Job Creation Law is one proof that the government is not responsive. The government continued to make derivative regulations when the public asked President Joko Widodo to issue a Perppu to cancel it.

"We can see how the government deals with demonstrations. It is impossible for an open government to take a repressive attitude. So that the defense that the government has been open to hearing public complaints has yet to reach a conclusion as evidence," said Dedi during a conversation with VOI, Thursday, October 22.

In addition, the government is also considered not to be participatory towards public votes because of the revision of the KPK Law.

"How can the government reject all arguments in the revision of the Corruption Eradication Commission Law and continue until later it is proven that the Corruption Eradication Commission has caused more noise and controversy than good performance, and this has resulted in more efforts to eradicate corruption," he said.

Meanwhile, a political observer from the University of Al-Azhar Indonesia, Ujang Komarudin, said that the government's responsiveness so far has been an effort to find justification. In fact, the people still give an opinion that the government is not responsive.

"The people think the government is not aspirational and responsive to their wishes. If the government is responsive there will be no revision of the KPK Law because the people reject it. If the government is responsive, the Job Creation Law will not be passed because the people also reject it. If the government is responsive there will be no demonstrations from the people who are responsive. rejects policies made by the government, "said the Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Review.

The government's unresponsiveness, continued Ujang, was also proven by the signing of the Job Creation Law which was submitted by the DPR RI to President Jokowi some time ago. If it was true that the government was responsive, he said, the government should have issued a Perppu on the Job Creation Law.
