Accident Victims Motorcycle Riders Who Disappeared Drowning In The Kalimalang River Are Still In Search Of The Joint SAR Team

JAKARTA - The joint SAR team is still searching for a victim of a traffic accident who disappeared from drowning in the Kalimalang River, Central Cikarang District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Sunday, June 5, afternoon.

After receiving information on Saturday, June 4, yesterday, the Jakarta Search and Rescue Unit was still conducting a search by deploying several rescue teams.

The joint SAR team is still looking for the victim, Wahyu (28), a resident of Sukabumi. The victim was riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident.

Then the motorbike driven by the victim was involved in an accident until the motorbike entered the Kalimalang river.

"After receiving this information, the Jakarta SAR Office sent rescue personnel to the scene and carried out SAR operations on the victims," said Head of the Jakarta SAR Office as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in SAR operations, Hendra Sudirman to VOI, Sunday, June 5.

Search for victims using complete water SAR equipment. The Jakarta Kansar also coordinates with other SARs to determine SAR operations to search for victims.

The search has started since Saturday, June 4, yesterday. The first search team conducted a search by sweeping along the Kalimalang River using a rubber boat with a radius of approximately 4 km from the scene.

"The second team conducted a search with visual observations by land along the Kalimalang riverbank up to a radius of 2 KM from the incident location," he said.

The third team conducted a search by sweeping under the surface of the water using the Aqua Eye media and the Underwater Searching Device.

"If conditions allow and there are signs of victims under the water surface, then a dive will be carried out," he said.

Until Sunday, June 5, dozens of joint SAR personnel were deployed in the search for victims including the Jakarta SAR Office, Central Cikarang Police, SAR Brimob Police, BPBD Bekasi Regency, Tagana Kab. Bekasi and other SAR organizations.
