JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto said the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) has the goal of uniting the nation. This is because the political world in Indonesia has experienced divisions since the 2019 Indonesian Presidential Election (Pilpres).

The statement was made by Airlangga during the signing of the MoU between Golkar, PAN, and PPP.

"We have put an end to identity politics that creates sharp polarization, which can tear the fabric of our nationality," said Airlangga at the KIB national gathering in Jakarta, Saturday, June 4.

In addition, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs stated that KIB would form a better political atmosphere. Thus, the feeling of unity and togetherness will be created in 2024.

"This is less than 18 months. This condition reflects the implementation of Pancasila not to divide society for political interests for a moment," he said.

Therefore, Airlangga Hartarto ensured that the establishment of a KIB, which did seem fast, was the first step. In the future all things will continue to be matured.
