PPP Chairman Says The 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate Can Be From Outside And Inside The United Indonesia Coalition

JAKARTA - Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Suharso Monoarfa said the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) could nominate a presidential candidate (candidate) and a vice-presidential candidate (cawapres) either from outside or within the coalition. However, it is currently considered not the time to determine.

"Indeed, it is not the time for us to discuss who the presidential and vice-presidential candidates are in the coalition. It can be from within or from outside (coalition, ed)," said Suharso at the KIB national gathering event, in the Plataran City Forest, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, June 4, 2022.

In fact, Suharso also mentioned that the presidential and vice-presidential candidates who will be promoted later are the result of collaboration. That is a combination of outside and inside KIB.

This possibility can happen because KIB is said to have not closed it from outsiders. So, anything is possible.

However, Suharso noted that whoever will be carried later must meet certain conditions. The goal is to make Indonesia better.

"KIB is not allergic from outside the coalition as long as it fulfills the things we have unanimously agreed upon," said Suharso.

For information, the Golkar Party, PAN, and PPP will inaugurate the United Indonesia Coalition. The inauguration of the coalition was marked by the signing of an MoU between the three political parties.
