Watching Movies Must Be Out Every 30 Minutes, CGV: Not Correct

JAKARTA - It had been circulating on social media that moviegoers were required to leave the room every 30 minutes while watching to breathe fresh air. However, this was denied by CGV cinemas.

Public Relations CGV, Hariman Chalid emphasized that his party had never issued a regulation requiring viewers to leave the film screening building to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

"There is no such rule. In the certificate (SK) from the Tourism and Creative Economy Office that we received, there is no mention (obligation to leave every 30 minutes)," Hariman said when confirmed, Wednesday, October 21.

Regarding the opening time for the film, Hariman said that the CGV Jakarta cinema network opened its cinema today, October 21. After experiencing several delays, the South Korean cinema network is ready to screen various films.

"The reopening of the CGV cinema in Jakarta will be carried out in stages starting with four locations, namely CGV Grand Indonesia, CGV AEON Mall Jakarta Garden City, CGV Green Pramuka Mall, CGV Transmart Cempaka Putih," Hariman said.

Then, the health protocol was also implemented by CGV Jakarta in opening theaters, namely the mandatory use of masks while in the cinema area and reducing the capacity of the audience in the studio.

In addition, CGV will carry out a tracking system with QR Code and Manual and always spray disinfectant liquid after filming.

Visitors who are allowed to watch the CGV cinema are currently only allowed from 12 to 60 years. The audience capacity will be available 25 percent for each hour of broadcast.

The films that will be broadcast

CGV is ready to welcome the audience with Indonesian and international films that are much awaited by their screenings. One of them is Train To Busan: Peninsula. The film, starring Kang Dong Won, can be watched legally through the CGV Jakarta cinema.

In addition, there are the film Bloodshot, The Secret Garden, the Korean film Deliver Us From Evil and The Swordsman, as well as the IZ * ONE group concert film, Eyes on Me.

"The screening of the film (showtime) at the CGV cinema will start at 12 WIB, and the last showtime will adjust to the operating hours of the shopping center where CGV is located," he said.

Furthermore, to viewers who want to visit CGV, Hariman suggested that they purchase tickets digitally and comply with health protocols.
