Jokowi Sends Aid For Grandma Sofia, A Resident Of Ende, NTT, Who Failed To Meet During The President's Visit

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo sent aid to a resident of Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), named Granny Sofia who failed to meet the President during a visit to this area.

Based on information received from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Grandma Sofia was waiting on the road where President Jokowi passed, but could not meet because many people were enthusiastic about meeting the President.

Grandma Sofia's failure to meet the President was reported by one of the online media. When he read the story about Grandma Sofia in the online media, the President immediately ordered his assistant aide to look for Granny Sofia and send help.

"I knew the President would come from the people, I waited at the place where the President passed, at first in the field but couldn't meet him," said Grandma Sofia, quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 2.

Grandma Sofia thanked President Jokowi for the assistance sent.

"Mr. President, thank God, my request has been granted, I can't repay all this kindness," said Grandma Sofia.

Sofia's grandmother left Ende's woven cloth to be given to President Jokowi.

"I gave this woven cloth to the President to wear," said Grandma Sofia.
