JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto highlighted the solidity problem of the Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. This highlight was conveyed in the framework of the anniversary of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin in office.

According to Hasto, in the midst of a pandemic, the solidarity and totality of the presidential aides is needed.

"That's why when there are indications that ministers have too much imagination in the 2024 election contest, forgetting their main duties and responsibilities as assistant to the president, it is better to immediately stop all imaging movements, and place the pursuit of achievement as part of work culture," said Hasto in a written statement quoted on Wednesday , October 21st.

He said that the current ministers in the Jokowi-Ma'ruf cabinet should focus on a number of matters relating to the lives of many people. Including, creating price stability for basic necessities for the community and trying to create jobs.

Thus, currently all ministers are required to carry out coordination, cooperation, and have the ability to carry out good public communication.

Furthermore, the party bearing the bull symbol encourages cooperation with all political parties supporting the government both at the central and regional levels as well as support from all grassroots parties. This political cooperation, he said, must also prioritize the development of dialogue for all elements of society.

Because dialogue, mutual cooperation and stable political conditions are the keys in facing the crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Those who fish in turbid water in this pandemic situation will face the power of the people," he said.

Previously, a number of politicians were also highlighting the issue of ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. The chairman of the MPR RI, Bambang Soesatyo, encouraged the government to improve coordination and synchronization between institutions.

One of the ministries that is in the spotlight to be able to coordinate and synchronize well is the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos).

This is important because the Ministry of Social Affairs is the backbone of the government in providing social assistance (bansos) for people who need it.

"Encourage all line ministries and institutions to improve coordination and synchronization between institutions," said Bamsoet as quoted from his written statement, Tuesday, October 20.

Apart from Bamsoet, the spotlight on the president's aides also came from the United Development Party (PPP). According to the Secretary of the PPP faction of the DPR RI Achmad Baidowi, although the political consolidation has gone smoothly, this does not appear to be happening in the internal cabinet because he sees a number of problems including miscommunication.

"The internal government consolidation had problems when the coordination between the cabinets overlapped. Even miscommunication occurred several times," said the politician who is often summoned by Awiek through his written statement.
