Police Arrest Student Robber In English Village Pare Kediri

KEDIRI- Pare Sector Police officers, Kediri Regency, East Java, arrested a mugger who snatched a student's bag in "Kampung England", Pare.

Kapolsek Pare AKP Bowo Wicaksono said the perpetrator of the robbery was AH (23), a resident of Pelem Village, Pare District, Kediri Regency. He snatched the student's wallet.

"After the robbery, residents were chased by the residents, caught and battered. The perpetrator snatched a wallet and after we opened it, it contained Rp4,000," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, May 31.

He also said that the perpetrator was arrested on Monday (30/5), at around 14.00 WIB in the Kampung Inggris Pare area. The victim was a student studying in the English Village, Pare. The victim was snatched while riding a bicycle.

At that time, the perpetrator deliberately approached the victim who was riding a bicycle and when the victim was off guard, the perpetrator immediately took the bag. The victim's bag contained a wallet and was placed in the bicycle basket.

The victim who knew it immediately panicked and shouted loudly for help, so that the residents could hear. They finally pursued together, until finally the perpetrator was caught.

The perpetrators also had not been beaten by the masses, but the police who had arrived at the location immediately arrested the perpetrators. He has also received treatment.

Before being caught by residents, said AKP Bowo, the perpetrator had taken the contents of the bag containing the wallet. Then the bag was dumped at a location not far from English Village.

"Before being caught, the bag was thrown away and only the wallet was taken. Then the public reported and secured the perpetrators," he said.

AKP Bowo also said that the perpetrator admitted that he had committed the act because of urgency. The perpetrator claimed to have a debt that must be repaid immediately. However, it's still not working at the moment.

Previously, the perpetrator worked odd jobs. However, currently not working. There has also been no call for a job application letter.

Meanwhile, from the incoming reports, the perpetrator is known to have carried out the action twice in the same location, Kampung Inggris, Pare.

"Based on the information, the perpetrators have (done) twice, in English Village as well," said AKP Bowo.

AKP Bowo also appealed to residents to be careful, especially when carrying bags, especially those containing important items. It is hoped that the bags carried are always secured, in order to anticipate unwanted things, including the crime of mugging.
