JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan expressed his gratitude for obtaining an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) on the DKI Provincial Government's annual financial report for the fifth time from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

This gratitude was conveyed by Anies after attending the plenary meeting to submit the report on the results of the examination of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the financial statements of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for the 2021 fiscal year.

"This is a gift from God for which we are grateful. Alhamdulillah, the efforts made by all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government accompanied by prayers today found the answer that for five consecutive years DKI Jakarta won the WTP opinion," said Anies at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Tuesday, May 31.

The achievement of this WTP opinion was achieved by the DKI Provincial Government for five consecutive times from 2017 to 2021 or while Anies was in office.

Meanwhile, in the previous period, namely from the leadership of Joko Widodo to Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), the DKI Provincial Government received a Fair with Exception (WDP) opinion.

For this achievement, Anies wants the DKI Provincial Government to maintain the WTP title after his term of office ends this year.

"We hope that later achieving WTP is a habit and WTP is a culture in DKI Jakarta. This is our commitment. Like last year, I conveyed when the fourth (WTP opinion) was, God willing, fifth, this should have become a culture in Jakarta, which hopefully in the next year it will be continued," said Anies.

Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta BPK Representative Office, Dede Sukarjo, stated that the DKI Provincial Government had again received a WTP opinion on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's financial report for the 2021 fiscal year. This WTP predicate is the fifth time that it has been maintained in a row since 2017.

"Based on the examination that has been carried out by BPK on the 2021 DKI Jakarta Provincial Government financial statements, BPK gives an unqualified opinion. Thus, in a row in the last five years, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has received a WTP opinion," said Dede in a meeting plenary.

Despite receiving the WTP predicate, it turns out that BPK still found a number of financial reports that needed improvement. These include overpayments, the use of cash accounts and escrow accounts that have no legal basis and without going through the approval process of the Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD), weaknesses in the tax determination and collection process, and weaknesses in asset recording.
