Victim's Persecution Using Sickles, Sadistic Thief In Kemayoran In Police Pursuit

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) is still pursuing the perpetrators of the motorbike robbery that occurred on Jalan Angkasa, in front of the Police Dormitory, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.

Currently, the police have pocketed the characteristics of the perpetrators based on CCTV surveillance camera footage around the scene.

"We have bagged the characteristics of the perpetrators who carried out the hijacking. Members are still on the field pursuing them," said Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim), AKBP Gunarto when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, May 31.

AKBP Gunarto explained that his party studied and checked Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) recordings after the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, it is hoped that the perpetrators of the sadistic robbery will soon be arrested.

"The characteristics of the perpetrators were caught on CCTV, we are still hunting," he said.

In addition to seizing CCTV footage, a number of witnesses have been asked for information so that the disclosure of this robbery case can be immediately revealed and can detect the perpetrators.

Previously, it was reported that Chandra Hermawan (20) suffered a laceration to his left cheek after being stabbed by a sickle by a gang of motorbike thieves on Jalan Angkasa, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Friday, May 27.

Apart from suffering injuries, Chandra's victim's motorbike also disappeared and was taken away by the gang of street criminals.

"The incident happened on Jalan Angkasa, opposite the police dormitory," the victim told reporters, Friday, May 27.
