Swearing In Front Of A Judge, The Regent Of Langkat Terbit Warin Angin Denies Receiving A Complaint From The Head Of Education And Culture Office Regarding The Project Auction

JAKARTA - The inactive regent of Langkat publishes a Warin Wind Plan denies that he has received a complaint from the Head of the Education Service (Kadisdik) of Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, Saiful Abdi, regarding the existence of a project auction arrangement at the agency.

Terbit asserted while swearing that he had never heard Saiful complain that he was about to resign because of the issue of managing the auction project.

"Here in this court, for God's sake, my family will die if the Head of the Service (Saiful Abdi) asks to resign from his position. Permission, Your Honor," he said when he was a witness in the trial at the Corruption Court (Tipikor). Jakarta was reported by Antara, Monday, May 30.

Published as a witness for the briber, namely the Director of CV Nizhami Muara Warin Angin. Muara is suspected of bribing Terbit as much as Rp. 572 million in working on a work package at the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) and Langkat District Education Offices in 2021.

At the previous trial, Monday (9/5), Saiful Abdi admitted that there was an arrangement for the tender for the procurement of goods and services at his agency by the "Kuala Group".

Syaiful confirmed the question of the Public Prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Zainal regarding the contents of his investigation report (BAP) which stated that all work at the Langkat Education Office was managed by Marcos as Iskandar Warin Angin's confidant.

He also confirmed that the jobs in the Langkat district office were already owned by Marcos and his group called the "Kuala Group".

The Kuala Group is the name for Terbit's confidants, namely Terbit's older brother Iskandar Warin Angin, private/contractor Marcos Surya Abdi, contractor/subordinate Marcos Shuhanda Citra, and private party Isfi.

They are suspected of arranging a tender for the procurement of goods and services in Langkat Regency.

According to the KPK JPU team, due to the project auction arrangement at the Langkat Education Office, Saiful said that he had asked Terbit to find a replacement for him as head of the agency.
