Tried For Corruption Case, Former Head Of ESDM Tanah Bumbu South Kalimantan Confess Guilt To Judge

BANJARMASIN - Former Head of the ESDM Office of the Tanah Bumbu Regency Government, South Kalimantan (Kalsel) Raden Dwidjono Putrohadi Sutopo, pleaded guilty and regretted receiving money from the former Director of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara, which resulted in him being caught in a corruption case related to gratuities.

"I regret and feel guilty, Your Honor," said the defendant Raden Dwidjono during a trial at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court, South Kalimantan, quoted by Antara, Monday, May 30.

The defendant said this when he appeared online from the Class IIA Banjarmasin Penitentiary. He specifically asked the Panel of Judges to be given the opportunity to express his regrets shortly after the Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Yusriansyah, opened the trial.

Responding to this, the Panel of Judges admitted that they had recorded it and would take it into consideration in the final decision later.

Today's session should have an agenda for reading the demands of the General Prosecutor's team (JPU) at the Attorney General's Office. However, the public prosecutor's team, represented by Adi Suparna,

admitted that he was not ready with his demands so the trial was adjourned.

Yusriansyah regretted the prosecutor's unpreparedness in compiling the dossier. For this reason, he asked the Public Prosecutor to read out the charges against the accused on Monday (6/6) next week.

"June 6, 2022 is non-negotiable. So June 13, 2022 (trial) is the defense of the defendant," he stressed.

In the gratification case, the defendant Raden Dwijono was accused by the Attorney General's Office of accepting bribes or the proceeds of gratification from transferring mining permits worth Rp. 27.6 billion disguised as debt from former Director of PT PCN Henry Soetio (late).
