Circulating Marijuana, Japanese Citizen Arrested In Bali

DENPASAR - Denpasar, Bali Police Team arrested a Japanese citizen, Naoyoki Takeda (43) for marijuana cases.

"The modus operandi is that the suspect has a package in which there are marijuana stems and seeds to be used," said Deputy Chief of Denpasar Police AKBP I Wayan Jiartana, Monday, May 30.

The perpetrator at the time of the release of the case was not shown in front of the mass media. The perpetrator was arrested Monday, May 9 in Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

Meanwhile, the evidence that was secured was a package of marijuana stems and seeds with a net weight of 0.52 grams net or 0.82 grams gross, including bongs.

The arrests of the perpetrators were made based on public information. The perpetrator was later arrested.

"According to the relevant information, that the marijuana was obtained from an unknown or known person then transferred it for Rp. 700 thousand and took it at the specified address. The Denpasar Police are still conducting further investigations and investigations," added AKBP Jiartana.

The perpetrator is known to have lived in Bali for more than a month on a tourist visit visa.

"His status is as possessing, storing a type of marijuana and using it as well. The status is a tourist and is still being developed. He works online," said AKBP Jiartana.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 111, Paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
