The Vice President Calls The Job Creation Law And PEN Evidence That The Government Sides With MSMEs

JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said that the government is committed to empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the National Economic Recovery (PEN) policy and the omnibus law of the Job Creation Law (Ciptaker) which sides with business actors.

"Through the PEN policy, the Government seeks to help MSMEs. Likewise with the Work Creation Bill which was ratified by the Indonesian Parliament on October 5, 2020. The government also gives great support for convenience, protection, empowerment of cooperatives and SMEs," said Ma. ruf Amin in Jakarta reported by Antara , Tuesday, October 20.

This was conveyed by the Vice President in the virtual launch of the Halal Product Marketing and Management Digitalization Training Program for MSMEs.

Ma'ruf said in the PEN policy, various programs provided to revive MSME activities, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, were the provision of interest subsidies for both people's business loans (KUR) and non-KUR, placement of Government funds with commercial banks for credit restructuring. and guarantees for MSME loans.

In addition, there is also the imposition of a final UMKM income tax (PPh) that is borne by the Government, investment financing to cooperatives through the UMKM cooperative revolving fund management institution (LPDB-KUMKM), as well as Productive Presidential Assistance (Banpres) or assistance for micro-entrepreneurs, explained Ma ' ruf.

For micro and small business actors specifically in the field of sharia, added Ma'ruf, strengthening is carried out through Islamic microfinance institutions as well as expansion of micro and small scale sharia business activities.

"The development of Islamic social funds will also be encouraged as an instrument to help create new sharia businesses," he said.

The development of MSMEs is included in the priority of sharia economic and financial development which prioritizes four things, namely the development and expansion of the halal product industry, sharia finance, sharia social funds, and sharia business activities or sharia business, said the vice president.
