JAKARTA - Chairman of the Jakarta EPrix 2022 Organizing Committee Ahmad Sahroni said that his party plans to exhibit a replica of a Formula E car during the car free day (CFD) at the HI Roundabout on Sunday this week. People can see directly while taking pictures with the car.

The Formula E racing car that will be on display during the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) is a replica that will not be used in the Ancol race on June 4.

"This will be exhibited at CFD so that the public can see firsthand, this type of Formula E (car)," said Sahroni at the Jakarta International Velodrome, East Jakarta, Thursday, May 26.

Sahroni revealed that the car that will be used for racing at the upcoming Jakarta E-Prix is not allowed to be shown to the public before the race.

Currently, the cars used by the racers are stored at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), before being finally opened from the safety box when they were in the paddock of the circuit in the Ancol area.

Regarding the plan to exhibit a replica of a Formula E car at CFD on May 29, Sahroni admitted that he was still in the process of obtaining the permit from the DKI Provincial Government.

"The permit is to the provincial government. We will ask for permission first, after the permit is issued, we will display it. We must not violate the rules. It is as if we will just play with the display, there is no permit, it will be a problem," said Sahroni.

However, previously the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service, Syafrin Liputo, emphasized that the current CFD is still limited and only for sports activities. Participants such as communities holding their activities are still not allowed.

"HBKB is still a limited scheme without participants. For the inventory of participants in the next CFD, you can register at hbkb.jakarta.go.id," he said.
