COVID-19 Update As Of May 26: 246 New Cases From Examination Of 57,903 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 57,903 specimens were examined with the results of 246 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,053,670 people and active cases are 3,011 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, May 26.

Today's recovered cases increased by 243 cases, bringing the total to 5,894,103 people recovered. Then, positive confirmation that 3 died and a total of 156,556 people.

The province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 124 cases and a total of 1,250,200 cases. Followed by West Java with 29 new cases with a total of 1,106,424 cases. Banten has 26 new cases and a total of 293,039 cases. Then, Central Java with 15 new cases and a total of 627,574 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 84 recovered cases. Followed by Banten with an additional 39 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 25 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 21 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 98,415,619.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.32 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,204 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 200,084,080 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,156,856 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 44,901,397. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
