JAKARTA - Traffic volume has increased significantly on various roads in DKI Jakarta. And this is the main reason why the odd-even policy was expanded from 13 to 25 roads in the Capital City.

This has caused several alternative roads in the city center to become congested. Whereas previously when there were 25 odd-even roads in the Jakarta business center according to Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 88 of 2019, vehicle traffic was sloping.

"Indeed, there is a massive movement from outside to inside. So, by applying it to 25 roads, we hope that traffic performance on busy roads will decrease again," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency decided to reactivate the odd-even policy on 25 roads in the capital city starting Monday (6/6) due to the high traffic volume.

"Starting June 6, the odd-even implementation will apply to 25 roads," said Syafrin.

His party will intensify socialization to the community for one week until June 5, 2022.

As for the odd-even operating hours, it will start at 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB and in the afternoon from 16.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.

The odd-even rule applies Monday to Friday. While Saturday, Sunday and national holidays, odd-even does not apply.
