JAKARTA - The Aceh High Prosecutor's Office stated that the Intelligence Team of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office (AGO) had arrested fugitive corruptors or had been added to the wanted list (DPO) of the Aceh Singkil District Attorney's Office, in Magetan Regency, East Java Province.

Head of the Legal Information Section of the Aceh High Prosecutor's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, said the arrested corruption convict was named Maridun Bintang (47).

"The person concerned has been on the DPO of the Aceh Singkil District Attorney since 2018. The person concerned was arrested by the AGO's Intelligence Team in East Java on Wednesday, May 25 at around 12.00 WIB," said Ali Rasab Lubis in Banda Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, May 25.

The convict Maridun Bintang was arrested at his residence in Tembora Village, Keras District, Magetan Regency, East Java.

The Supreme Court based on its decision in 2014 found Maridun Bintang legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption in the procurement of fertilizers at the Agriculture and Extension Service, Food Security, Subulussalam City, Aceh, with a budget of Rp.2.85 billion in 2009.
