ACEH - The suspect in the murder of the boy Rangga and the rape of Rangga's mother in East Aceh died in detention due to shortness of breath.

"Suspect Samsul Bahri (36) died in Langsa Police cell on Saturday (17/10) at around 23.30 WIB," Chief of Langsa Police AKBP Giyarto through Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Iptu Arief Sukmo Wibowo quoted Antara Aceh , Sunday, October 18.

To determine the cause of the suspect's death, the police took him to Langsa Regional Hospital. Iptu Arief said that the day before he died, the suspect Samsu Bahri was taken to the hospital because he complained of shortness of breath.

At the hospital, the suspect received medical attention in the form of checking his temperature, blood pressure and oxygen levels. The suspect was also given an IV overnight.

"Furthermore, on Saturday (17/10) at 06.00 WIB, the doctor allowed the suspect to be sent back to the Police," said Iptu Arief.

Then, continued Iptu Arief, at around 23.30 WIB, the suspect complained about the tightness. The suspect was brought back to Langsa Hospital.

When they were about to be taken, the suspect was lying stiffly in the cell. The hospital said the suspect had died.

"Furthermore, the suspect Samsul Bahri was buried in the TPU of Alur Gading Village, Birem Bayeun District, East Aceh Regency," continued Iptu Arief.

Suspect Samsul Bahri was arrested Sunday, 11 October at 09.00 WIB for allegedly killing a nine-year-old child and allegedly raping the child's mother in East Aceh.

Suspect Samsul Bahri was arrested in his hiding place in an oil palm plantation in Alue Gadeng Village, Bireum Bayeun District, East Aceh.
