Mobile Phone Thief In Kebayoran Baru Threatens To Jump From JPO If Residents Catch Him

JAKARTA - A man attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in Kyai Maja, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. Investigate a calibaration, the man turned out to be a mobile phone pickpocket who was trying to escape from the pursuit of residents.

Tarsidi (33) one of the traders near the scene said the incident occurred Monday morning, May 23, at 02.00 WIB.

"I don't know, suddenly there were a lot of police, and then there were people who just wanted to jump there. May 24.

Tarsidi also explained that the perpetrator rode the JPO without clothes while carrying a beam. He said the block was used to hit people who approached him.

"He's bare-chested, he's not wearing clothes. He's just screaming," he said.

When contacted, the Head of the Kebayoran Baru Police, Commissioner Donni Bagus Wibiso, confirmed the incident. Now the perpetrator has been arrested.

"Yes. (It happened). (Now) it is still being handled," he concluded.
