In An Accident, Amien Rais' Son Suffered Minor Injuries

JAKARTA - Amies Rais 'loyalist, Agung Mozin, confirmed that Amien Rais' eldest son, Ahmad Hanafi Rais, had an accident on the Cipali toll road, from Palimanan to Jakarta.

However, he said, Hanafi only suffered minor injuries to the eyebrows. Hanafi was hospitalized, but is now trying to return home.

"Hanafi Rais' condition is safe and there is only a small wound on the eyebrow. A team of doctors has checked it. There is no serious consequence from the accident. Now, the family has been there and it is trying to return home immediately," Agung told reporters. Sunday, October 18th.

The accident occurred while Hanafi was heading to Jakarta with his driver, Ferdian, at the Cipali KM 112-900 Toll Road, the Legal Area of the Subang Police.

At around 02.22 WIB Sunday morning, Hanafi's car was hit by another vehicle that was traveling at the same speed from behind. Agung admitted that he did not know the identity of the crashing vehicle.

"As a result, the vehicle was pushed forward and crashed into a heavy equipment vehicle. The police number for this heavy vehicle is unknown," said Agung.

As a result of this incident the vehicle was damaged with its normal final position facing west. Hanafi suffered minor injuries, while Ferdian, the driver was in good health and had no injuries or hard collisions at all.

Previously, the West Java Police PJR Unit reported that the son of politician Amien Rais, namely Ahmad Hanafi Rais, was involved in a traffic accident on the 112 kilometer Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road, to be precise in the Subang Regency area.

Panit PJR Tol Cipali, Iptu Karyana said Hanafi Rais was in a Toyota Alphard car with police number B 1612 WMV. The car, said Karyana, was driven by Ferdian Yudha Pratama.

Luckily, the incident did not cause any casualties. Hanafi and Ferdian, said Karyana, are now being treated at a hospital in the Purwakarta area.

"The police came to the scene of the crime and recorded the witnesses and then took the victim to the hospital. The police also secured evidence to the PJR Subang Subang Highway," he said.
