BANDA ACEH - Investigators at the Aceh High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) have asked for expert information from the Government Goods and Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP) regarding the investigation into allegations of corruption in cattle procurement in Southeast Aceh Regency.

"Investigators are still waiting for expert testimony from LKPP regarding indications of irregularities in the auction process for the procurement of 200 cows in Southeast Aceh Regency," said Acting (Plt) Head of the Legal Information Section of the Aceh Attorney General's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 24. .

According to him, the LKPP expert's statement was to complete the case file for alleged corruption in the procurement of cattle in Southeast Aceh Regency, which is now at the investigation stage.

"After receiving expert testimony from LKPP, investigators immediately coordinated with BPKP Aceh Representative for the calculation of state losses. So, the process of investigating this case is still ongoing," he said. The determination of the suspect is carried out after the case is concluded. The case will be held after obtaining the results of LKPP expert testimony and state losses calculated by the Aceh Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"Investigating allegations of corruption has become the attention of the leadership. So, investigators continue to work hard to resolve and immediately delegate to the court," he said.

The Southeast Aceh District Government through the Department of Agriculture managed a budget of IDR 2 billion in 2019 for the procurement of 200 cows. The purpose of the procurement of cattle is to increase the population of livestock to meet the needs of people's meat consumption.

However, in procurement, the cattle purchased are not from good nurseries and have livestock health insurance. As a result, many of the cows purchased are sick.
