JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said preparations for the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) Conference in Bali in June 2022 reached 80-85 percent in terms of logistics, content and publications.

"The AVPN Global Conference as a side event for the G20 Presidency is expected to run well so that it can have a maximum impact," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno in a virtual weekly press conference reported by Antara, Monday, May 23.

He hopes that collaboration with AVPN can build a network that connects all stakeholders to open access to philanthropic financing for tourism and creative economy actors, as well as increase international confidence to carry out MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) activities in Indonesia.

On the logistics side, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) has reviewed through venue readiness, stakeholders, target participants, registration, accreditation and participant visas, health protocols, implementation of Event Service Standards (SLA), handling at airports, information technology facilities , and budget.

With the theme “Catalysing Action Towards the Asian Decade”, AVPN 2022 will focus on four substances, namely climate action, health and nutrition, gender, and economic opportunities.

"God willing, the President (Joko Widodo) will attend and open this event," said Sandiaga.

In terms of publications, AVPN will be disseminated through the official website and G20 social media, G20 side events, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and AVPN social media.

Until March 17, 2022, 500 registrants from various countries were confirmed to attend the event with more than 300 registrants still in the curation process.

"So this is really maintained by participation from the community at a high level of curation so that the organization produces discussions that really produce solutions," said the Menparekraf.
