Brimob Officers Open Fire At The Ragunan Police Complex: No Commotion Was The Trigger

JAKARTA - The Brimob officer who fired several shots at the Ragunan Police Complex, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, is still undergoing investigation to find the motive behind it.

Interim results, there was no commotion that was mentioned as the trigger for the shooting.

"There was no commotion, Propam is investigating the motive," said Dansat Intel Brimob Kombes Mulyadi when confirmed, Monday, May 23.

In addition, from the interim examination process, the Brimob person, who is known as the Police Commissioner (Kompol), is known to have the initials P. He is said to have served as a staff in the Mobile Brigade Command.

"(Duties, red) On staff," said Mulyadi. When asked about Kompol P being able to own or hold firearms (senpi) even though he only served as staff, Mulyadi declined to comment. He said the matter was still being investigated.

Gunshots echoed several times at the National Police Complex, Ragunan, Pasar Minggu. Allegedly, the sound came from a gunshot.

Based on information, the sound of the eruption was heard on Friday afternoon, May 20. It is said, the source of the sound from one of the houses in the Ragunan Police housing complex.
