COVID-19 Cases In North Sulawesi Remaining 29 People

SULUT - The Health Office of North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) recorded 29 cases of COVID-19 in the province or 0.06 percent of all cases. The total remaining cases are either quarantined or self-isolated patients.

"The trend of the spread is starting to slant," said Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section of the North Sulawesi Provincial Health Office, Mery B. Pasorong in Manado, quoted from Antara, Monday, May 23.

The cumulative number of residents exposed to COVID-19 in North Sulawesi Province is 51,345 people with a total of 50,148 people who have recovered and 1,168 people who died.

Mery added, the rate of transmission of COVID-19 in the North Sulawesi region continues to decline. "This is also part of a joint effort by the government and the community to implement health protocols," he said.

Finally, Mery emphasized the importance of citizen discipline in implementing health protocols in an effort to suppress the transmission of COVID-19.
