MAKASSAR - The Director General (Dirjen) of Village Administration (Pemdes) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Yusharto Huntoyungo, met with the Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman to discuss the map of village boundaries in South Sulawesi.

Yusharto Huntoyungo stated that he is currently focusing on carrying out activities in technical assistance in determining and confirming village boundaries.

This is in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 23 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Presidential Regulation Number 9 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of the One Map Policy at the Level of Map Accuracy at a Scale of 1:50,000, which mandates the target time and location for completion of village boundary maps from 2021 to 2023.

"This is a reference in the online single submission (OSS) contained in the Job Creation Act. The next one becomes the thematic map that will be overlaid on other maps," he said as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 20.

Until now, he said, in terms of completing the village boundary map in South Sulawesi Province, about 65 villages out of 2,255 villages had been completed.

"So, for each village, we know the real potential based on the thematic maps compiled from the Indonesian one map team at the Ministry of Economy," he said.

It also encourages the acceleration of the formation of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, including in the development of tourism in villages.

Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman helped to accelerate the completion of the village boundary map to be carried out by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

"We discussed several things together. One of them is regarding the map of village boundaries in South Sulawesi Province. We certainly support the efforts of the Ditjen Pemdes Kemendagri in completing the village boundary map," he said.

He hopes that the determination of village boundaries will also be included in encouraging village development.

"We certainly encourage business development in the village. This includes getting closer and providing better administrative services for the community," he said.

Especially in South Sulawesi, he said, has a wealth of natural panoramic tourism. This is also a form of recovery in the tourism sector which will have an impact on the community's economy.
