MAKASSAR - The candidate for mayor of Makassar, Moh Ramdhan 'Danny' Pomanto will fill the campaign by having a dialogue with residents on Jalan Sungai Saddang, Makassar. Danny Pomanto emphasized that he would increase the authority of the Head of RT / RW to strengthen public services for Makassar residents.

"So if the RT / RW is underestimated, it is the same as underestimating a city. So, then the RT / RW problem is not just a matter of incentives, it is a matter of Makassar's dignity. Where RT / RW is the foundation of public services below. I am the empowerment of RT / RW, ”said Danny Pomanto, Friday, October 16.

"Why? many RT / RW functions that I will give. For example, the authority for levies, including parking and tax authority. So later, you can see the performance of RT / RW and officers in related offices, "continued Danny Pomanto.

In the dialogue, resident representatives conveyed hopes and complained to Danny Pomanto, who was paired with Fatmawati Rusdi in the Makassar Pilkada.

"When Mr. (Danny) took office in 2017, Alhamdulillah, we honorary teachers were appointed as contracts. Our honorarium has increased from Rp. 500 thousand per month to Rp. 1.5 million. Alhamdulliah, that is enough to meet our needs," said resident, RN.

Meanwhile, the chairman of RW 2, Taufiq Syamsuddin admitted that he had problems in the current political situation. However, he is determined to win Danny Pomanto-Fatmawati (Adama) in the Makassar Pilkada.

"There are indeed several obstacles that we face. But God willing, we have Allah SWT's arms. So we hope that in the future this togetherness will be maintained. We guard the victory, we guard the victory of box number one," he said.

Meanwhile, local community leader H Lukman HR Gassing really hopes that Danny Pomanto will return to lead Makassar. Because, when Danny Pomanto served as Mayor of Makassar in 2014-2019, Lukman said many promises were realized.

"We really hope that he will be re-elected. Because of what? His previous promises when he was first advanced can be said that almost all have been fulfilled. We hope that such a program is sustainable and can be good again," he said.

Lukman also praised the candidate for deputy mayor of Makassar, Fatmawati Rusdi. According to him, Fatmawati is a tested and experienced woman.

"With Fatma, Pak Danny is very fitting. Because he was the chairman of the PKK for 10 years in Sidrap and finally in the DPR. Right in his field, women's empowerment. This couple can collaborate to run the program," he said.
