Southeast Sulawesi Weather Evening Until Tonight, Beware Of Wind Rain Potential In 9 Regencies

KENDARI - The Kendari Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned of winds accompanied by lightning and lightning that could occur in nine districts in Southeast Sulawesi Province.

The potential for heavy rain will occur in the afternoon and into the evening. The regions include the districts of Kolaka, East Kolaka, North Kolaka, Konawe, North Konawe, Konawe Islands, Muna, North Buton, and Central Buton.

"The early warning of the weather in the Southeast Sulawesi region today in these nine regencies has the potential for moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning or lightning and strong winds," said BMKG Sultra forecaster Fezal Habibie in a written statement, Friday, May 20.

Fezal explained that in Kolaka Regency, the potential for heavy rain could occur in the Districts of Wundulako, Kolaka, Pomalaa, Baula, Latambaga which could extend to Wolo, Tanggetada, Samaturu, Iwoimendaa.

Based on the Antara report, in East Kolaka Regency, the potential for heavy rain is in Ueesi Subdistrict which can extend to Loea, Ladongi, Poli Polia, Lalolae, Mowewe, Uluiwoi, and Tinondo.

Meanwhile, in North Kolaka Regency, the potential for heavy rain will occur in the Districts of Rante Angin, Wawo, Lambai, North Pakue which can extend to Lasusua, Batu Putih, Kodeoha, Porehu, and Katoi.

In Konawe Regency, the potential for heavy rain can occur in Unaaha, Wawotobi, Abuki, Latoma, Anggaberi, Asinua, Konawe, Padangguni, Anggotoa Districts which can extend to Lambuya, Tongauna, Uepai, Routa, Meluhu, West Wongeduku, and North Tongauna.

In North Konawe Regency, the potential for rain can occur in Asera Subdistrict which can extend to Wiwirano, Molawe, Lasolo, Oheo, Andowia and Landawe. In Konawe Islands Regency, the potential for rain will occur in Northeast Wawonii District, East Wawonii which can extend to North Wawonii, and Southeast Wawonii.

In Muna Regency, the potential for heavy rain can occur in Bone District, Marobo which can extend to South Wakorumba, Kabawo, Parigi, Pasir Putih, Pasi Kolaga, and Batukara.

In North Buton Regency, the potential for moderate to heavy rain can occur in Bonegunu District which can extend to Kambowa. In Central Buton Regency, the potential for rain will occur in Mawasangka District which can extend to the Central Mawasangka District.

In addition to the nine areas, the potential for moderate to heavy rain in the Southeast Sulawesi region can also extend to South Konawe Regency, especially Laonti District.

The BMKG reminded the public to remain vigilant and careful about the potential impacts of heavy rains that could be caused, such as floods, puddles, strong winds, fallen trees, and slippery roads.
