JAKARTA - West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pasma Royce said his staff had deployed 200 joint personnel from the Resort Police and the Sector Police to secure demonstrations by workers, community organizations and students.
Hundreds of members of the police were stationed at several points including Traffic Light (TL) Slipi, TL Pejompongan, Palmerah Pospol and TL Harmoni.
The action participants will hold a demonstration around the State Palace and the DPR/MPR RI building, today, Thursday, May 19.

Kombes Pasma asked his staff to act humanely and persuasively. He also asked all personnel to comply with operational standards and provisions within the National Police regarding the use of force in police duties.
