North Barito 2022 Pilkades Held Today, Regent Monitors Virtually

KALTENG - The North Barito Regency Government will hold the simultaneous 2022 village head elections (pilkades) starting today, Thursday 19 May. This simultaneous Pilkades was attended by 249 candidates for village heads spread over 73 villages in nine sub-districts.

North Barito Secretary, Muhlis, who is also the chief executive of the district Pilkades, conveyed that the number of Permanent Voters List in North Barito was 44,080 voters and village head candidates as many as 249 people.

"For the level of education of village head candidates who take part in the village head election from junior high school to master's degree," said Muhlis who was present virtually, according to Antara.

In addition, of the nine sub-districts that will carry out the 2022 North Barito Village Pilkades, only Gunung Purei District cannot join virtually due to problems with the telecommunications network.

From the reports of eight sub-district heads who in their regions carry out the Pilkades simultaneously, on average the implementation is going well. Even though there were slight obstacles, the implementation of the Pilkades went smoothly and safely while still implementing health protocols.

Deputy Regent Sugianto Panala Putro, who was monitoring from the office of the local regent in Muara Teweh, said the North Barito Regency Government had made great efforts to prepare and ensure the implementation of the simultaneous Pilkades run smoothly and successfully.

"Don't forget to thank all parties who have worked hard from preparation to today's vote, so that everything goes according to plan and schedule, is safe, smooth, conducive and still complies with applicable rules and regulations," said Sugianto.

North Barito Regent Nadalsyah, who was monitoring virtually from Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), expressed his gratitude to all parties who contributed to the success of the simultaneous Pilkades. In addition, it is hoped that all parties will continue to apply the health protocol in its implementation.
