President Jokowi Asked To Evaluate The Performance Of The Minister Who Is Less Than Optimal

JAKARTA - Director of IndoStrategi Research and Consulting Arif Nurul Iman said President Joko Widodo needed to evaluate the performance of ministers whose work was not optimal.

"President Jokowi needs to evaluate ministers whose performance is less than optimal," he said in a statement in Jakarta, Thursday, May 19.

He suggested this so that the government could continue to run optimally until the end of President Joko Widodo's leadership. The survey results of public confidence in President Joko Widodo's government decreased to 58.1 percent based on the latest survey of Indonesian Political Indicators. Arif believes that it is natural for President Jokowi to evaluate the minister's performance

“President Jokowi should conduct an evaluation. So that ministry posts can be maximized, especially those concerning the lives of many people," he said.

Previously, the Political Indicators Survey Institute released the results of a survey related to public satisfaction with the performance of President Joko Widodo. As a result, satisfaction with President Jokowi fell again to 58.1 percent.

"Satisfaction with President Jokowi has again declined to 58.1 percent," said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi.

Burhanuddin said the decrease in satisfaction with Jokowi's performance was due to the soaring prices of basic necessities, especially cooking oil.

"In general, the decline in President Jokowi's approval this time was caused by the gap between policy expectations and the reality on the ground regarding the handling of cooking oil," he said.

It is known, the satisfaction rate decreased compared to the previous survey on 20-25 April 2022, with a satisfaction percentage of 59 percent.

This survey was held on May 5-20 2022 with 1,228 respondents, the sample was taken randomly by cell phone. The survey's margin of error is 2.9 percent with a 92 percent confidence level.
