Swimming At Kuta Beach, Visitors Disappear In The Current

BADUNG - Visitors were dragged by the current and drowned while swimming at Kuta Beach, Badung Regency, Bali. The Kuta Police, who reported the incident to the Bali Basarnas, did not yet know the identity of the victim.

"We received a report at 19:05 WITA from Mr. Sutayana, that one person was dragged by the current on Kuta Beach, in front of a mall," said Gede Darmada as Head of the Bali Basarnas Office, Wednesday, May 18.

Four personnel were moved to the location to coordinate. Search by sea sweep is not possible, given the very limited visibility.

"The team at Kuta Beach is coordinating with other SAR elements and also combing along the shoreline. If tonight's search efforts do not yield any results, the SAR operation will resume tomorrow morning," he said.
