Build A School In The Border Area Of IKN Nusantara, Penajam Regency Waits For Land Status

KALTIM - North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), has built a remote or filial class school for residents living in border areas in the buffer zone of the state capital or IKN Nusantara.

"The filial school was built in the area of the forestry company PT Balikpapan Wana Lestari (BWS)," said Head of the North Penajam Paser Regency Education, Youth and Sports Agency (Disdikpora), Alimudddin in Penajam, Wednesday 18 May.

"PT BWS is willing to release its two-hectare land for the construction of the remote class school," he continued.

Currently, we are just waiting for the legality from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) regarding the land, whether the status is borrowed or given for the construction of a filial school.

According to him, the funds for the construction of the remote class school will use the state budget, so land use approval from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry is required.

The location for the construction of the Filial school is at Kilometer 29 on the border of Sotek Village, Penajam District, North Penajam Paser Regency and Bongan District which is part of the West Kutai Regency.

"We have taken care of the legality of the land for the construction site for the remote school classroom at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry," he said, as reported by Antara.

Filial School is a class away from SD Negeri 005 Penajam in Sotek Village, he continued, to make it easier for residents in border areas to access education.

Residents in the border area with West Kutai Regency have to travel tens of kilometers with dirt-covered roads to reach SD Negeri 005 Penajam in Sotek Village.

The budget for the construction of the Filial school or distant class, he explained, was sourced from the DID (regional incentive fund) disbursed by the central government for the education sector of around Rp. 700 million.
