COVID-19 Healing Rate In North Sulawesi Reaches 97.66 Percent

MANADO - The recovery rate for residents in North Sulawesi Province who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 is 97.66 percent.

"The total number of residents who have recovered from COVID-19 has now reached 50,145 after an additional case was added," said Head of the North Sulawesi Health Service, Dr. Debie KR Kalalo, MSc.PH in Manado, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 18.

The only recovered cases that have increased are from the Sangihe Islands Regency.

He added that the accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached 51,344 people, there were no additional new cases in the last few days. Even so, he hoped that residents would not be careless in implementing health protocols when carrying out activities to break the chain of spread of COVID-19.

"We also continue to encourage people to immediately get a complete dose of vaccination at health facilities that provide this service," he said.

There has also been no increase in death cases in the last few weeks, the case fatality rate is 2.27 percent with the number of cases dying of 1,168 people.

Meanwhile, 31 people who are still being treated in hospital or in self-isolation (active cases) or 0.06 percent.
