Jambi Ministry Of Religion Selects 6 Hajj Officers To Serve Congregations In Makkah

JAMBI - The Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Jambi Province held a selection of prospective Hajj officers or the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH). Officers are recruited for the operation of the Hajj pilgrims in 2022.

The Head of the Sub-Coordination for Regular Hajj at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of Jambi Province, Muhammad Bafadol, said that six Hajj officers were needed.

"We have carried out the selection of regional hajj officers to fulfill the quota of six regional hajj officers which was carried out in collaboration with the Jambi Provincial Government," said Bafadol in Jambi, Tuesday, May 17.

The prospective hajj officers recruited consisted of three public service officers and three health workers. They will provide services to Indonesian pilgrims in the Holy Land of Mecca.

In addition, he said, supporting the task of flying group officers (kloters) to serve pilgrims. So it is hoped that regional hajj officers and crew officers can establish good cooperation in serving prospective hajj pilgrims.

"Hopefully services to prospective pilgrims can be provided better because the selection is based on criteria that have been set by the government," said Bafadol.

Furthermore, Bafadol said that some prospective hajj pilgrims in districts and cities have now started performing the rituals of hajj. Hajj rituals are carried out so that prospective pilgrims are not awkward in performing the pilgrimage in Mecca.

"The Hajj rituals are carried out six times, four times at the sub-district level and twice at the district and city levels," said Bafadol.

There are 1,321 prospective pilgrims from Jambi Province who will perform the pilgrimage in 2022. Among them are spread in Jambi City 321 people, in Batanghari Regency 97 people, in Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency 135 people and in Bungo Regency 96 people.

Then in Merangin Regency 199 people, in Kerinci 95 people, in Muaro Jambi Regency 76 people and in Tebo Regency 102 people. Furthermore, in Sarolangun Regency 116 people, in Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency 24 people and in Sungai Penuh City 60 people.
