UI Accepts 1,676 New Students Through The 2022 SBMPTN UTBK Path

DEPOK - University of Indonesia (UI) accepted 1,676 new students for 64 regular undergraduate study programs or about 30 percent of the total capacity through the holding of Computer-Based Writing Exams - Joint Selection for State University Entrance (UTBK–SBMPTN) 2022 which began simultaneously throughout Indonesia on Tuesday 17 May.

Head of UI New Student Admission (PMB UI), Dr. Gunawan in his statement in Depok, West Java, Tuesday, said the implementation of the UTBK - SBMPTN today went conducive and smoothly. The majority of participants have followed the provisions published by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) and the UI UTBK Center.

Quoted by Antara, Gunawan appealed to UTBK SBMPTN UI 2022 participants, especially participants on the 2nd day and so on, to always comply with the provisions so that the exam process runs smoothly. The implementation of the first batch of UTBK was attended by 2,636 participants.

"We hope that the UTBK UI 2022 activity can run smoothly, be conducive and maintain health protocols because the pandemic is not over yet," said Dr. Gunawan, who is also a lecturer at the UI Faculty of Engineering.

UTBK is the main requirement to take part in the SBMPTN set by the LTMPT. In Indonesia, as many as 74 state universities (PTN) have used a computer-based exam format to make it easier for LTMPT to process test results.

In 2022, the number of applicants for the UI SBMPTN reaches 42,440 people with Medical Education as the study program that has the most registrants. Meanwhile, there were 35 disabled participants consisting of 12 visually impaired and 23 disabled participants who chose the UTBK center at UI.

For participants with physical disabilities, the exam is held at the Old Building Fasilkom, while for participants with visual impairments, the exam is scheduled for a special session, namely Thursday, 19 May 2022, 5th session (morning) in the Lab. 1105 Fasilkom Old Building. Participants with disabilities are accompanied by officers and the completeness of the exam is checked by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT).

As the UTBK Center, UI has prepared 63 exam rooms from 29 exam locations with 1,309 main computers and 193 backup computers spread across UI Depok and UI Salemba Jakarta.

At UI Depok, UTBK was held at 21 locations spread across the Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB), Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Health Sciences Clump (RIK), as well as other locations in several faculties. Meanwhile at UI Salemba, UTBK was held at the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Economics and Business, School of Environmental Sciences, and School of Strategic and Global Studies.
