Vesak Holiday, Ancol Visitors Reach 38,000 People

JAKARTA - Visitors to Ancol Dreamland Park during the 2022 Festival of Joy or the Vesak Day holiday reached 38,000 people.

Corporate Communication of PT Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Ariyadi Eko Nugroho in Jakarta, Monday, explained that Monday's visitors were not as many as Sunday (15/5), although there were still a series of Festival Raya Gembira events such as live music and culinary festivals.

"Alhamdulillah, today as of 3 pm, there are 38,000 visitors. Last night (May 15) it was busier, 1,500 tickets sold out (Music Festival at the Ancol Festival Beach), the same as on May 7," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, 16 May.

Meanwhile, he continued, the total visits on Sunday (15/5) were 50,000 people and spread across Ancol recreation units.

Eko explained, if you take the average visitor during the last three long holidays, the average visit is around 39,333 visitors per day.

But if visitor data during Lebaran is entered, then the average value of Ancol visitors could be even higher.

"So the 'long weekend' visitors this time are not as high as the third day of Eid until the fifth day yesterday," said Eko.

Visitors to Taman Impian Jaya Ancol can enjoy a variety of food at a row of food stands in the Ancol Festival Beach area while enjoying music as part of the event held by Ancol entitled Festival Raya Gembira.

Places of interest, among others, spread from the Symphony of The Sea area in the eastern area of Ancol, at the Ancol Art Market and Festival Beach.

Eko added, usually from 10.00 to 13.00 WIB is the peak time because the number of visitors to Ancol at the gate at that time can reach its highest point.

After that, slowly visitors began to stabilize again. In this year's Lebaran, the government has relaxed the PPKM rules, but Ancol Management continues to strictly implement health protocols.

The quota for visits still follows the regulation, which is limited to 75 percent of the maximum capacity.

Ancol entrance tickets can only be purchased online and a maximum of D-1 before the visit.

Visitors are advised to have the Peduli Protect application on their respective cellphones because at the Ancol Gate, officers will require visitors to scan the barcode available with the application.
