JAKARTA - Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana, said that there were no signs of acute hepatitis cases in his area. He hopes that no Lampung residents suffer from the disease.

Acute hepatitis is increasingly threatening and disturbing the community. Not only in Indonesia, but also in the world. Some children are reported to have become victims, some even died.

The Lampung Health Office continues to increase vigilance to anticipate the spread of acute hepatitis.

"We continue to improve the early warning system, as an anticipatory measure before this acute hepatitis case spreads high," said Reihana as quoted by Antara, Saturday, May 14.

"Currently there are no symptoms of acute hepatitis, hopefully in Lampung there will be no such situation," he continued.

He explained that currently his party continues to monitor newborn children, as well as children with an age range of 1 month to 16 years. This monitoring is carried out to determine the development of children's health in Lampung Province.

"Indeed, the average person infected is at the age of 1 month to 16 years, so this is also a concern. Then it is also monitored for normal newborns until a yellow week, this is normal but if it reaches more than a week this needs to be anticipated," he said. .

According to him, other anticipatory steps that must be taken are to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and continue to apply health protocols.

"Keep the body's immunity with healthy living behavior, continue to apply health protocols, and if there are symptoms that point to the disease, immediately go to the hospital," he said again.
