Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto Asks All Cadres In The Regions And Centers To Follow Up Meetings With PPP And PAN

JAKARTA - The Golkar Party, PAN, and PPP have agreed to establish cooperation from an early age to face the national political agenda, including the 2024 election. All three have the opportunity to nominate presidential and vice presidential candidates if the coalition can be realized in the upcoming elections.

The three coalitions can meet the 20 percent presidential nomination threshold. Golkar in the 2019 general election won 12.31 percent of the vote, PAN with 6.84 percent of the vote, and PPP 4.52 percent of the vote.

The coalition of Golkar, PAN, and PPP also has the potential to occur because the three general chairmen affirm that they carry the same political idea, namely to reduce the polarization of society through inter-party cooperation.

General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto admitted that cooperation with PAN and PPP is like a philosophy of life. The banyan tree (symbol of Golkar) when illuminated by the sun (symbol of PAN) will be greener and shady, while the Kaaba (symbol of PPP) is the embodiment of cooperation that is oriented towards the end or the pleasure of Allah SWT.

"So this is a collection of shared experiences and of course working together to oversee the political agenda of Mr. President Jokowi in the future, including the election agenda later in 2024," said Airlangga in a statement, Thursday, May 12.

The three general chairmen of the parties even instructed all levels of management in the regions to be close to each other and work together to follow up on the meeting of these three parties.

"We from the Golkar Party in particular, ask and instruct all ranks of the Golkar Party, both at the provincial, district and city levels to follow up on this meeting in cooperation with both the National Mandate Party and the United Development Party," said Airlangga.

PPP General Chair Suharso Monoarfa admitted that the Bertiga Bersatu coalition wanted to show a pattern of early cooperation to bring about better relations. According to him, the cooperation that was built from the start could strengthen togetherness.

"We want to show or demonstrate a much earlier and more beautiful cooperation between political parties. To complement each other and to strengthen togetherness," said Suharso.

The head of the PPP said that his party, Golkar and PAN had mutual friendships since the reformation. In fact, the three parties also have their respective experiences in government.
