COVID-19 Update As Of May 12: 335 New Cases, 4,867 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 167,339 specimens were examined with the results of 335 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,049,876 people and active cases have fallen by 464 to 4,867 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, May 12.

Today's recovered cases increased by 785 cases, bringing the total to 5,888,571 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that died 14 and a total of 156,438 people.

The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 100 cases and a total of 1,248,801 cases. Followed by West Java with 54 new cases with a total of 1,105,885 cases. East Java has 41 new cases and a total of 575,804 cases. Then, Banten with 39 new cases and a total of 292,973 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Lampung with an additional 461 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 93 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 64 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 33 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 96,968,564.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 0.38 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,946 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 199,450,667 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 165,969,135 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 41,955,944. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
