BANGLI - The Bangli, Bali Police Team has uncovered a theft case by I Nyoman Wijana. The stolen money was planted in his chili garden.

"Currently, the perpetrators and the evidence are secured at the Kintamani Police, Bangli, for further investigation," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bangli Police, AKP Androyuan Elim, Thursday, May 12.

This case began with the victim's report, Ni Nyoman Santi (92), a resident of Pinggan Village, Kintamani District, Bangli Regency, Bali.

The victim reported that he lost Rp. 10 million which was kept in the cupboard. Based on the victim's report, the police conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator.

From the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had stolen the victim's house at around 11.00 WITA and took the money in a bag that was in the cupboard.

The stolen money was used to play gambling for Rp. 6 million, while the remaining Rp. 4 million was planted in his chili garden.

The perpetrator also admitted stealing at the house of another victim, namely Suarta's Rp4 million, Nang Suk's Rp6 million and Rp350 thousand belonging to another victim.

"The modus operandi was that the perpetrator entered the house, which at that time was quiet, through an unlocked bedroom door. Then he took the key to the shelf under the pillow and with the key opened the shelf and took the money stored in it, and the motive was allegedly due to economic pressure," he said. .
