Perpetrator Of Persecution Of Housewives In Bitung Successfully Arrested

MANADO - The Matuari Police Resmob Team, Bitung Police, North Sulawesi Regional Police arrested the perpetrators of assaulting and threatening a housewife using a sharp weapon, in Manembo-nembo Tengah Village, Matuari District, Bitung City.

"After a search was carried out, the perpetrator, a man with the initials FW 25 years, was successfully secured around the Sagerat Village area, Tuesday (10/5)," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast.

Persecution and threats were carried out by the perpetrator against the victim, a housewife named Hesternon Mendiangen (50).

According to Abast, the alleged abuse was motivated by the perpetrator's revenge against the victim.

"It is suspected that the perpetrator was hurt because the victim had said harshly to the perpetrator's mother, thus committing abuse and threats," he said.

When meeting with the victim, the perpetrator immediately hit the victim's face once with a fist, then threatened the victim by showing a knife.

The victim strongly objected to the perpetrator's actions and reported the incident to the Matuari Police.

"The perpetrator has been detained, then handed over to the Matuari Police investigators to be processed according to applicable law," said Abast.
