The head of the Ternate Basarnas, Muhammad Arafah in Ternate, Tuesday, May 10, said that based on reports, the victim Sanusi Mandea (58 years), and his colleagues went out to sea in the waters of Morotai Jaya using a longboat.

According to him, at 12.00 eastern Indonesia time, the victim said goodbye to his colleague to go home first, but when his colleague returned to the village at 15.00 eastern Indonesia time, the victim had not yet returned and the family reported it to Basarnas.

Quoted by Antara, Muhammad Arafah said, after receiving the report, the Morotai SAR Alert Unit Rescue Team moved to LKP to carry out SAR operations with land SAR equipment and marine SAR equipment.

Previously, Basarnas Ternate was looking for a fisherman from Kawata Mangoli village, Sula Islands Regency (Kepsul), who had been reported missing because he had not returned from fishing.

Where, the joint SAR Team who was conducting a search received information that at 08.25 eastern Indonesia time, the victim was stranded and found safe by fishermen from Waitina village in the waters of Pagama island or around 13.58 NM northeast of LKP and the victim was taken to Mangoli village at victim's family residence.

According to him, the victim named Darman (32 years old) at 10.00 eastern Indonesia time, the Joint SAR Team moved to the village of Mangoli to check the truth of the news with the result that the victim was actually in Mangoli Village at the residence of the victim's family in a safe and healthy condition.
