Backflow On The South Cianjur Line Decreased Sharply, 10 To 20 Vehicles Per Hour

CIANJUR - Lebaran return flow in the southern route of Cianjur Regency, West Java, decreased sharply. The volume of vehicles is dominated by vehicles going to Bandung, while on the contrary to tourist attractions

Naringgul Police Chief, AKP Badru Salam said that today's vehicles were sloping compared to the previous two days, but there were still some passing by, especially in the afternoon and evening.

"Today it has decreased sharply, but there are still homecomers passing towards Bandung with a count of 10 to 20 vehicles per hour. Meanwhile, from the opposite direction the volume of vehicles destined for tourist attractions is still quite high," he said when contacted, Tuesday 10 May.

He explained that although the volume of homecoming vehicles had decreased, his party was still alerting members assisted by volunteers at rest areas or resting places where many drivers, especially homecomers, visited to provide a sense of security and comfort.

Not only supervising officers, but also urging motorists to remain extra vigilant and careful when crossing, especially when it rains heavily because along the national road south of Cianjur, landslides are prone to natural disasters.

"We will remain alert for the next week because the Naringgul-Cianjur main route is the main route for motorists to several southern regions in West Java, such as Garut, Tasikmalaya to Pangandaran," Badru Salam said, as reported by Antara.

Several travelers who passed by and chose to rest at the Bale Gede-Naringgul rest area, before continuing their journey to Bandung, said that they had purposely returned late to their hometown because they had just returned home after Eid because they were still opening their businesses.

"Intentionally late because we have just returned home on the second day of Eid, we are back today to avoid traffic jams on the Soreang route," said the traveler from southern Garut, Oman (35).

He added that he deliberately chose the southern route of Cianjur because it was closer to the smooth condition of the national road runway, so the time needed was no more than 3 hours from Bandung.

"It's faster and it doesn't take long to get to Santolo-Garut," he said.
