The Latest From The Handling Of The Indra Kenz Case, Temporary Losses Of 118 Victims Reached Rp72 Billion

JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit recorded a total temporary loss in the case of fraudulent investment on the Bimomo platform reaching Rp72 billion. The nominal loss was based on data from 118 people who were victims.

"The total loss of the 118 victims is IDR 72,139,000,000," said Head of the Penun Division of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, to reporters, Tuesday, May 10.

In this case, the Criminal Investigation Department has named 7 suspects. One of them is Indra Kenz as an affiliate of the Binomo platform.

In fact, some of the other suspects are people closest to Indra Kenz. For example, Vannesa Khong, the lover of the man whose real name is Indra Kesuma.

"Investigators have named seven suspects, each with the initials IK, WEN, then WMN, F, ST, NK, VK (Vannesa Khong) and finally RP," said Gatot.

In the process of handling this fraudulent investment case, as many as 78 witnesses and 4 have been examined. Their information is used to compile case files.

However, specifically for the case file of suspect Indra Kenz, which had been transferred to the Attorney General's Office (AGO), continued Gatot, it was still declared incomplete.

Therefore, investigators will coordinate with several experts to complete the case file.

"Coordinated with accounting experts from STAN, then ITE experts from Brawijaya University Malang," said Gatot.

For information, in the fraudulent investment case, Indra Kenz was charged with Article 45 paragraph 1 juncto 28 of Law 19 of 2016 concerning ITE. Then, Article 378 of the Criminal Code on fraud.

There is also Law No. 8 of 2010 concerning money laundering offences. The application of this article is an effort to impoverish the perpetrators of criminal acts so that there is a deterrent effect.
