Gowa Police Chief Asks Teen Eye Archers To Surrender

GOWA - Gowa Police Chief AKBP Tri Goffarudin asked a teenager's eye archer on Jalan Sahabat, Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, to immediately surrender himself to the police.

"We hope that the perpetrators will immediately surrender because this case has been handled by members and is a priority to be disclosed," he said after visiting the victim with the initials MAP (16) in Gowa, reported by Antara, Tuesday, May 10.

The Chief of Police was accompanied by Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Boby Rachman and Plt. Head of Public Relations of the Gowa Police, AKP Hasan Fadhlyh, went directly to MAP's house after the victim underwent surgery to remove an eyeball at the hospital due to being hit by an arrow.

In front of the victim and his family, the Police Chief expressed his empathy and promised to thoroughly investigate the attack by the motorcycle gang.

He also listened to the testimony of the victims of MAP before the incident. He admitted that the terrible incident occurred the day before Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri or Sunday (1/5).

At that time, the victim of MAP was working in a motorcycle repair shop in Gowa Regency. Motorcycle gangs attacked residents' settlements until finally an arrow was stuck in MAP's right eye.

"We from the Gowa Police will continue to try to uncover the case and make MAP. We ask him to keep his spirits up and pray that this case will be revealed soon," said the Gowa Police Chief in front of MAP.

The Gowa Police Chief also hopes that the victim will recover as soon as possible and return to his activities and motivate him so that all parties are not easily provoked.

AKBP Tri Goffarudin confirmed that the case against the MAP victim was carried out by an unknown person (OTK) whose case is currently being handled by the Satreskrim. He promised to seriously investigate the case thoroughly.

"We do not provide space (for the perpetrators) and will take strict action against the perpetrators of street crimes who disturb the security and social order in the jurisdiction of the Gowa Police," he said.
