IHSG Opened To Strengthen To Nearly 5,100, Analyst Recommends Indosat And Telkom Shares

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened in the green zone today, Tuesday, October 13. JCI opened higher by 0.13 percent or 6.39 points to the level of 5,099.49.

Opening the trade, 75 stocks rose, 40 stocks fell, and 61 stocks were stagnant. The trading volume was recorded at 105.38 million shares with a transaction value of IDR 69.65 billion.

JCI movement in today's trading has the opportunity to continue the upward trend, after yesterday being able to stay in the green zone and closed up 0.78 percent to the level of 5.093.

"Technically, it indicates the potential for further strengthening in the JCI movement, so that the index has the opportunity to go to a resistance level," said PT Binaartha Parama Sekuritas analyst Muhammad Nafan Aji Gusta Utama in his research.

Currently, according to him, JCI is trying to stay above the support level of 5.024, while the closest resistance target that is trying to reach is at the level of 5,187.

Thus, Nafan explained, the potential for further strengthening in today's JCI movement could be utilized by investors by accumulating the purchase of shares of PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), PT Indofood CBP Makmur Tbk (ICBP), PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT), PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk. (MAPI), PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa Tbk (RALS), and PT Sillo Maritime Tbk (SILO).

Meanwhile, an analyst at PT Reliance Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (RELI), Lanjar Nafi said that the process of increasing the JCI tends to be limited, because it is overshadowed by profit taking.

Technically, said Lanjar, JCI has limited potential to strengthen and is likely to experience profit taking , with a support-resistance range at the level of 5,067-5,114.

So, in the midst of the JCI movement that is trying to survive in the green zone in today's trade, Lanjar is offering a number of shares that can be observed by market players, namely PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES), PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure Tbk (TBIG), PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF), PT Lippo Cikarang Tbk (LPCK), and PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO).
