Police Revealed Tajir Kaltara Not Owning Gold Mine, Investigators Check Two Officials Of PT BTM

JAKARTA - The North Kalimantan Police will examine the Technical Director and Manager of PT Banyu Telaga Mas (BTM). The investigation relates to the illegal gold mining area being worked on by the suspect, First Brigadier Hasbudi.

"Today, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, investigators have scheduled an examination of H. Karlan A Manesa as Director of PT. BTM and H. Hidayat as Technical Manager of PT. BTM," said Head of Public Relations of the North Kalimantan Police, Kombes Budi Rachmat when confirmed, Tuesday, 10 May.

The investigation of the two company officials after it was discovered that the wealthy police of North Kalimantan were not the official owner of the mining area. He just worked on or run the business illegally.

"(Gold mine, red) It doesn't belong to HSB," said Budi.

However, when asked about the possibility of examining other parties, such as the Bulungan Regional Government (Pemda) and the North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov), Budi did not give a clear answer. He only mentioned that all parties related to the illegal mining action would be questioned.

"What we are examining is related to the HSB case," said Budi. First Brigadier Hasbudi is one of five people named as suspects in the illegal gold mining case in Sekatak Village, Sekatak District, Bulungan Regency.

In the disclosure of the case, the police also confiscated several luxury items from Brigadier Hasbudi which were suspected to be the proceeds of crime. For example, three luxury watches, three excavators, two boxes containing semi-automatic firearms and 200 ammunition.

Then, Toyota Alphard, Honda Civic, 11 speedboats allegedly belonging to Brigadier Hasbudi were also confiscated.
