Relatives Explanation: Before Lily Wahid's Death Had A Stroke

JAKARTA - Lily Wahid's relative, Arifatul Choiri, said that before his death, Lily Wahid had a stroke caused by the formation of a thrombus in a blood vessel in the brain.

"There was a stroke caused by the formation of a thrombus in a blood vessel in the brain," said Arifatul, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 9.

Arifatul added that the stroke symptoms appeared on Saturday, May 7th. "Around 11 o'clock symptoms appear that lead to a stroke. The necessary examinations are carried out," he said.

He said that Lily Wahid had been treated at the Jakarta Heart Center Hospital since April 23, 2022 due to chest pain.

The day after, the medical team performed a stent on the heart's blood vessels. "A stent was placed on the heart's blood vessels, the condition is good and stable," he said.

However, on May 4, 2022, Lily Wahid was referred to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) so that she could be treated with adequate equipment and medical teams.

"He was referred to the RSCM with consideration of the need for more complete equipment and handling assistance by specialists from various other disciplines. Doctors who treated Lily Wahid's mother continued to take care of them because they were also on duty at the RSCM," he said.

Lily Wahid was in a stable condition on May 5-6, 2022 before finally passing away on Monday afternoon.

The younger brother of former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid passed away at the age of 74 years.

"He has passed away to Rahmatullah Mrs. Nyai Hj. Lily Khodijah Wahid bint KH A. Wahid Hasyim on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 16:28 at RSCM Jakarta," he said.

The body will be buried in West Covina, Cibubur Tourism City, Bogor.

The plan is that the bodies will be buried at the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java on Tuesday, May 10.
