Bali Provincial Government Gives Political Party Financial Aid Of IDR 16.46 Billion, PDIP Gets IDR 9.81 Billion

DENPASAR - The Bali Provincial Government handed over financial assistance from political parties (Parpol) for the 2022 fiscal year to seven political parties that won seats in the Bali DPRD with a total value of Rp. 16.46 billion.

"Based on the information we received from the Ministry of Home Affairs, apart from Bali, no other provincial government has confirmed that it has disbursed political party financial assistance," said Bali Provincial Kesbangpol Head Dewa Putu Mantera, Monday, May 9.

The financial aid was transferred to the accounts of each political party on April 28.

In addition, the submission of financial assistance for political parties this year is also faster than the previous year. In 2021, political parties' financial assistance will be disbursed in May.

The political parties' financial assistance of more than Rp. 16.46 billion was received by seven political parties that won seats in the Bali DPRD in the 2019 Election.

"The amount of financial assistance received by each political party is adjusted based on the number of valid votes multiplied by the value per vote of IDR 7,500," he added.

Meanwhile, for details of financial assistance received by political parties, namely the PDI-P of Rp. 9.81 billion, the Golkar Party of Rp. 2.38 billion, the Democratic Party of Rp. 1.30 billion, and the Gerindra Party of Rp. 1.23 billion.

The NasDem Party was Rp. 950.35 million, the Hanura Party was Rp. 439.51 million and the Indonesian Solidarity Party was Rp. 330.36 million.

"With the increase in the value per vote from the previous Rp 5,000 in 2021 and this year to Rp 7,500, we hope that it will be accompanied by more political party activities that can provide benefits to the community," he explained.

In the stages leading to the 2024 Simultaneous General Election and Regional Head Elections, his party hopes that political parties can intensify political education for the younger generation of Bali so that they can actively participate in the 2024 General Election.

"Not giving a choice is indeed a voter's right. However, do not let golput win the election because it will affect the quality of the election and political stability," he said.

In addition, it is reminded that political parties can properly administer financial assistance received and used in accordance with Permendagri No. 36 of 2018 and Permendagri No. 78 of 2020.

Based on the Permendagri, financial assistance for political parties is prioritized for carrying out political education for members of political parties and the public.

In addition to carrying out political education, financial assistance can also be used for the operation of the secretariat of political parties, socialization, and education on health protocol policies for handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Ida Bagus Made Kresna Dhana, representative of the Bali PDI-P DPD expressed his gratitude to the Bali Province National and Political Unity Agency (Kesbangpol) for overseeing the process of disbursing political party financial assistance so that it became the fastest.

"This is an achievement for Bali. We are grateful for the hard work of Kesbangpol because these funds are very important for us in political parties," he said.

With the financial support from the Bali Provincial Government, many political party activities can be carried out, even at the branch level.

"We, as well as other political parties, will of course carry out political education activities for our cadres and the community. This includes supporting efforts to increase the Bali Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI)," he said.
